I want to do stuff that's less literal, lots of style and focus on feeling free, think Yuasa or Blake but I'd need to still do fundamentals and complete realism before that right? I'm not sure I can spend a lot of time drawing so any help, advice
I'll use Picasso as an example, he understood the way things worked before being able to twist so it seems like thats the only path

Would going though KJG's sketchbooks and redrawing them while analyzing them and thinking about them critically be a good way to tackle different subject material, perspectives, compositions etc, or would I be better off drawing from life and photo reference?

Nowhere. You have to buy it. 1.9.4 is the latest cracked version because everyone pissed off the cracker. There's a loader bypass but all advanced tool settings and things like rulers are unusable.

That being said 1.9.4 is good enough.

Especially because PS is the easiest program hands down to pirate. Simply run an installer and Bob's your uncle. The amount of bad art on this board I've seen simply because people are simply too stubborn and/or not willing to put in the effort to learn PS is amazing.
