>>4448816>creating a single decent looking ellipse, unaided in under 5 minutes is a "hilarious restriction"
It's only hilarious because of how easy it should be. It should never take that long to produce a single ellipse that isn't split to fucking hell with scratches and runaway lines.>>4448862
This is blatantly not true and terrible advice. You should feel bad for offering it.
Line work does not just naturally improve over time; if you're haphazardly striking lines hoping that the right one appears, you wont improve. You have to practice and exercise your lines mindfully. Then carry those exercised, practiced lines over into your studies, not just repeat the same shitty, mindless doodle line work and hope that it'll get better on it's own.
Your line work isn't going to improve if you're just scratching away hoping to create a bucket in perspective in order to construct a Proko bucket pelvis. Whereas if you mindfully practice your line work through basic exercises, you can then transfer the decisive, controlled lines from that practice into making the Proko bucket pelvis. Your practiced line work will improve the bucket, not the other way around.
If you're relying entirely on an eraser and CTRL + z to make a decent line, you wont naturally improve over time.
