Was a nice way to end the series IMO. Not just because it's a good ship, but because it left the viewers with the impression that the characters still had lots of adventures to go on together, even though the viewers wouldn't get to see.
Sure, it's kinda cheesy. But that fits with the show being pretty lighthearted overall
