Robo has more years of experience than Pan, comes from a family of film makers and animators, and has more natural talent and a more charismatic attitude towards animation as a whole. She also went to, and I think is continuing classes at some higher-end school for animation in a nearby city. She has more disposable income on hand, and though not as popular as Pan, is growing at a much faster rate than he did when he was starting out.
Pan is more obsessed with animation than Robo, yet also has a sort of personality that throws him from really dedicated and a real go-getter, to a miserable (woe is me" kind of cuck mindset that gets little done. Pan already went to school, but did not stay in it as long, and the schooling he received was inferior to what Robo has (some random who uni in bum-fuck Texas), which also did not help Pan, seeing as he switched majors a few times and the closest degree he has is a Bachelor's in Graphic Design. Pan makes more money than Robo, but has less support, and if not for his family and his very generous Patreon supporters, Pan's spending habits would get him deep into a hole, as he is not as financially safe as Robo is. Of course, Pan is far more popular than Robo, but he is more known for his "infamy" than actual "fame" in the animation community, and if it was not for his connections through Jim, Ian, and Rebecca Sugar, he would probably be black-listed.
In summary, if history is truly a never-changing cycle, then I would wager that Robo becomes the next Rebecca Sugar ten years from now, while Pan ends up becoming John K, at least, as far as their reputations and business connections are concerned (Pan, stop hitting in underage girls in public and making blog posts about your re-occuring UTIs).
