>>99769166>character depth What depth there is is more than enough to create fun interactions between the characters in a COMEDY cartoon. That's all you need from a cartoon designed to make you laugh so I'm not sure what your complaint is about? The main 3 characters each have their own unique personalities which contrasts well with one another, you have:
Eddy, the egotistical, scheming, loud and greedy leader of the trio who drives most of the plots. Bounces well with Kevin as both want to be seen as the head figure amongst all the other kids, and Kevin is typically the one to see through his bullshit. Bounces well with Rolf because his old world shenanigans utterly confuse him and often lead to irritation and conflict. Views Jimmy as a welp but also respects him as a protege until he outshines him, etc etc. His narcissistic and attention whore tendencies work well with the other children in the cul-de-sac.
Double D, the virtuous, neat freak, voice of reason, intelligent, kind and caring Ed boy. Also incredibly sarcastic and is the straight man for the show. Is enamoured by Rolf's old world traditions and wishes to learn more, often objects to Ed's immoral ways, fucking etc. I could write a goddamned essay about this shit.
>pitched voicesOutside of the first season the voice acting for this show is excellent, I don't really understand this complain and never heard of anybody that had a problem with it (asides from Eddy's tendency to yell).
>lackluster scripts that go nowhere>>99770290>>99770383You already lost on this point.
