>>99802887Hillary Pollux Plumington, Esq. was a squire during the Middle Ages.
He and his knight-errant mentor one day were attacked by a massive metal beast that breathed something like fire.
While fighting the beast, Plumington's mentor was incinerated and Plumington himself was left horribly burned, but alive. A new power welled up inside him, like an inexhaustible furnace of energy. He slayed the beast and sought out its master.
The master of the beast was a time traveling mad man. Atomic Esquire did battle with him on multiple occasions thwarting Dr. Science's efforts.
One day the mad man devised a plan to finally be rid of this menace. He cloned him and would have him destroy himself! But to his disappointment the clone bore none of Atomic Esquires powers and so Dr. Science did the next best thing, he built a metal monster, brainwashed the clone, and stuck him in it, then sent it back in time to deal with this thorn in his side before he'd ever become one.
From the wreckage the clone survived and regained his senses. He realized what had happened and donned the armor of his (original's) knight master becoming Nuclear Knight (as the armor absorbed the same radiation and thus granted him the same powers), and began a separate quest across time to find and join his "brother" on the crusade against the man from the future.
How they actually met was never covered, how they got to modern times is also unknown.
Atomic Esquire died fighting Dr. Science during the age of the dinosaurs, but was revived somehow later on (probably by Nuclear Knight) and the fight against the future mad man continues.
