Never watched Reboot as I'm an American and only 21 so it really never came across my path. I think the video does a good job explaining why people cared and why The Guardian Code is a slap in the face. I don't think I'll dive into the series, but I can appreciate what it was and what it meant to Canadian 90s kids. Guardian Code releasing everywhere else BEFORE Canada is some of that real-life shit you just can't make up; it's too perfectly shitty.
>>99676051I'd figure it's nicer to be Woolie or Pat who have better SOs and get a break from Matt relatively often due to the aforementioned vacations (and also literally situations where Matt fucked up at being an adult, like about a month ago where he literally missed a podcast because he accidentally deleted some of his tax documents and a video).
It's amazing how much better the Woolie/Pat/Plague podcast that went 4.5 hours was than the Woolie/Pat/Matt/Plague one from literally the week prior. The Friendcast is the only consistent content I take in from them anymore but if it's a week without Matt it's always better, guest or not. The 4.5 hour one was legendary though, tangent after tangent of interesting and/or hilarious discussions (I will admit that last week's with the massive tangent on TMNT ripoffs was gold though). It's shit like that that kept me listening even when I stopped caring about watching Let's Plays. It's just the podcast, occasional Fisticuffs/Scrublords, and reactions to/thoughts about Directs/E3 now (the only thing of Liam's that I watch as well).
