It was somehow the least popular ship on the show while putting Dipper with his sister or a triangle spawned bizarre international subcultures and cult followings that persist to the day, meanwhile less fucking crazy shit prefers Pacifica or Wendy with Dipper. Pacifica and Wendy did both have way better chemistry by the way. Even the South Korean fandom didn't care about Candy meanwhile. But still
2. All the shipping on this show was shit. Part was because the female characters were poorly written and just not a priority. What depth or hook did Candy have? She barely was given a character. Even Wendy was barely given a character. Partly because there wasn't any actually romancey stuff, the dumb crushes were just fodder for jokes.
Candy kind of got shafted because they probably could have done more with the character though.
