Hey, at this point it's pretty much the only thing people even remember VG Cats for. The actual webcomic fell into obscurity years ago when the artist just never updated until everyone forgot about him.

And by the time he did start updating, game webcomics were so old hat that no one really cared.

So if he wants to keep the lights on? Yeah, this is pretty much the only direction he could take aside from changing VG Cats' formula completely. Which would be nice to be honest. I do want to see more of the cats themselves rather than bland game parodies.

It's a rather interesting dynamic. Years of a comic featuring the comedic duo of opposite sexes with hints and build ups to an actual relationship, and not the possibility of the author doing actual smut on the side where he could actually outright confirm all the hints and show another side to his comedic protagonists.

Though, I suppose this means Scotts been drawing porn in secret, if he is confident enough in his porn work to ask money for it.

Why even bother with "cheesecake" tier? just draw the porn as hard as you're willing to go and skip the bullshit. Is he trying to curate whales that are going to pay $100/mo for hardcore porn so they don't leak the content and he can control it with embedded names? I doubt anyone's going to be paying more than $25 a month for this shit so he might as well just come out with it. Only reason I could think he'd do this is if he was trying to fuel mystery door hype as he goes past stupid basic pinups or he thinks he can maintain a few months of goals for reliable income.

I don't think all artists should, but it shouldn't be something shyed away from. Theres nothing wrong with porn, and artists exploring pornographic mediums with their art can actually improve their abilities, and maybe even pull some sticks out of asses.
