>>99476151>as something that had been considered and developed as a cohesive subplot. If you're talking about PB, she had a whole arc in season 6/7 about become less controlling. It was definitely intentional.
As for Marceline, her core characterisation hasn't changed much since the beginning like PB's has. She's still got that mischievous prankster streak she had in the early seasons, she's just been shown in different contexts since.
>>99476186>She still has issues with Hunsoon and angsts about it. Did you watch Marcy and Hunson? She's totally unfazed by Hunson's sudden arrival, and she's more or less accepted Hunson for what he is at this point.
>Simon/Ice King Ditto. She's accepted Simon for who he is now, even if she still misses the person he used to be. Simon and Marcy and Broke His Crown are clear evidence of this.
>but also getting off on how she can get people to brood with her.Marcy isn't emo or brooding. She's actually pretty reserved emotionally, I Remember You and What Was Missing being the key exceptions. If anything her problem is that she ignores her emotions, as shown in Ketchup.
>Even in the new Hunsoon dad ep, she's shown to flip out when she thinks someone is manipulating her Huh? She wasn't manipulated at all in that episode. She got annoyed at Hunson for embarrassing her and disrupting her show, and her reaction was fairly mild.
>She still has it, it's just subdued.I disagree, she's been very at peace with herself post-Stakes.
>The entire Gumbald arc shows how she's kept this from everyone to their detriementGumbald only just came back, and she told everyone as soon as she found out about his return.
>they're have been many episodes in S6-S7 where she still spies, puts implants into her people, and manipulates them.Name one after The Cooler.
>cuts to her monitoring them with implants and slightly "correcting" their behavior through said implants.Fake News.
