>>99380894The theory I have in my mind right now is an old one that can be disproven quite easily, especially if there's not considerable alibi.
>>99378467That's a possibility, but consider the following.
What if Rose Quartz is Pink Diamond?
Why would she stage her own shattering? Let's see based on the facts at hand: Steven has a vision of Pink Diamond. Not just of Pink Diamond, but in Pink Diamond's perspective. How was this possible? Well, Steven can dream hop into other's minds and memories.
Did the other gems mention this ability to Steven at one point? No. The first time Steven mentions this during Chile Tid the Gems didn't say "Rose Quarts could do this," in any capacity.
Then the mind-body swap occurs with Lars. Another ability that the other gems making no mention of Rose Quartz having. This comes to another piece of evidence to my claim on powers: the Earth has been a proven testing ground for gems discovering new powers. Pink Diamond was the one in charge of the Earth. So it stands to reason that Pink Diamond acquired or discovered these abilities to enter other's minds and bodies, effectively trading places with them.
So according to the clip we've seen, White diamond is likely the leader of all gems. Yellow and Blue being her second in commands, while Pink is an unfortunate runt of the litter so to speak.
Pink has also shown impatience and frustration over not being treated the same as the other Diamonds. The interaction with Yellow we see shows this as a distinct possibility. So it must stand to reason that in the end Pink may have control over Earth, but she answers to the other diamonds. They'd just use her earth for themselves, and Pink would be just an over-glorified pearl to them. So she comes up with a plan.
Namely sparking a revolution against herself. The other diamonds get involved. Now she just doesn't need witnesses to her demise, but the right ones. Too many could likely sense something is amiss...
