You have no fucking idea, my man. At the time, there was a segment of Ninja Turtles fans that were like the proto Sonic fans, mostly thanks to Archie's TMNT comics. It had all the stupid lore and try hard melodrama that we'd see a few years later in Archie's Sonic comics. Plus most of them were drawn like standard furry comics, with sexy fox or cheetah characters, and that drew in the weirdos. I remember they did these sourcebooks with backstories and profiles on all the different mutants that appeared in the Archie series, and I had a cousin who was obsessed with making TMNT OC because of them. Every time we went to my Aunt's house, it was "Go hang out with Patty, she likes Ninja Turtles too!" Then I would have to spend hours hearing about "Oh here's Chamelia, she's a chameleon mutant and she's in a relationship with Raphael, but Leonardo secretly loves her. Oh, and she's based on me!" She would later go on to be a Sonicfag. Coincidence? Having to deal with that shit really soured the original cartoon and Archie comics (which even at the time I found lame) for me, so I stick with the original Mirage comics, the first movie, the 2003 series, and I never get involved with hardcore TMNT fans.>>99276023
