I know a lot of people that put the cutoff for "good" Simpsons right before Season 11, and with good reason- apart from "Behind the Laughter", it's a season with some weak episodes, and in retrospect, it's the first sign of what was to come.
That said, I love this bit from "Kill the Alligator and Run":
