>>98955764If they were going to do a sequel, I'd want to see them turn the franchise into an anthology series were there are callbacks to previous movies, but none of the characters or plot carry over - Rango is always the unfortunate newcomer dropped into the genre, and learns to embrace the conventions and tropes as the story progresses.
Fantasy - Rango finds himself lost in the woods and stumbles upon a medieval fantasy community of animals who mistake him for a heroic knight and pressure him into a quest.
Sci-Fi - Rango finds himself in the animal testing lab at a research facility and has to take on the role of the dashing sci-fi action hero to help them escape and uncover the lab's dark secrets.
Adventure - Rango washes ashore on an island and is mistaken for a Dread Pirate Roberts type and finds himself pulled into a life of swashbuckling piracy.
