>>98957774I have my moments as in thoughts that I brush away, not things that lead me to alcoholism and abusing my friends.
Having more money turned my mental health around.
What's security worth if you're in pain? Oh, right, having to worry about rent, what you'll do it your care breaks down, what you'll do if you can't afford food, ect, all sure help pain, doesn't it!
The point I was making is that depression on its own is hard, but combining depression with the inability to make long term plans, worrying about basic needs, and being unable to afford any sort of entertainment that cost more than walking through the park can only make it worse.
People like to look at money and go "clearly the depressed person would just be a rich depressed person" when really, its a case by case scenario.
For me personality having more money made it easier to deal with the depression to the point that it doesn't affect my life as much. My irritation comes from people acting as if money won't help ANYBODY with these problems when that just isn't the case.
