>>98874543Atheist here, this all correct information. Atheists tend to be pseudo intellectuals in that they hear three talking points that sound smart and act like they know everything. They know nothing of history.
As a gay person I also agree, being homosexual isn't a choice. And it doesn't hurt anyone, so it shouldn't be stigmatized. However, people are sensationalizing it as of it's some kind of virtue. It's not. Heterosexuality is the norm, and it should be. Otherwise the species would die out.
As for being transgender, this also isn't a choice, see gender identity disorder. (Although there are a lot of people who are choosing it because of alleged "social constructs.)" *eyeroll* The problem with this one besides the trenders, is that it is not only being sensationalized as virtuous but also that it is good and healthy.
I've not met one legit trans person who thinks this way. Gender dysphoria literally kills them, (suicide,) and the surgeries and social stigmas cause nothing but burdens in their lives. Should we treat transfolks poorly? No, I don't think anyone should be mistreated for immutable traits. Should we glamorize mental health disorders/conditions/illnesses? No, it minimalizes legit issues and prevents us from researching root causes and possible cures/treatments that aren't surgeries.
Plus, children regardless of their trans status, (legit or bandwagonin,) are not mentally capable of making those kinds of decisions for what is right for them. They can't get tattoos or drink but they can start HRT? The queer movement has become a joke.
