>>98809829No, but I do have experience with manipulative people that promote a cause strongly in order to hide their own prejudices. Like when you get the "Family First" conservatives that have a gay romance with an underaged lover in the bathroom of an airport, or a "Anti Gun" democrat that gets caught trafficking weapons. You'll get these "I'm for the worker" types that have nothing but disdain for workers, they see it as a pet project to be some big hero to lesser people. The people who advocate so strongly for "The poor, oppressed victims" but then turn round and claim the opposite of what they've been preaching simply out of their political opponent making the claim are harboring an agenda that's more important to them than assessing and solving a problem.
If they were sincere, they'd be pragmatic and recognize and try and help the situation regardless of who pointed it out. They're ideological and opposing wrong think (The Enemy) means more than their own supposed cause.
Like an intersectional feminist who proclaims women and human rights, that then screeches "Refugees welcome!" as they pump the most misogynistic, right wing people into the country. The only human rights they have are people they caught stealing with their left hand.
If this were back in Jim Crow days, they'd say they're working hard for the negro because of all the woes the oppressive system brought on them... But really, it's pretty good, just look at these businesses and home owners! You can't say their situation is bad unless their cause wants to say it. Whether they wish to profit off it, for social or capital gain, they're exploiting what they call the exploited, and if it's out of the their control to dictate, they want it destroyed.
