Hey, a few months ago I posted some juicy information about future Warner cartoon releases and now I'm back to give you more news about anything you ask me. As long as it's not under NDA of course.

Know anything about the status of the distribution rights for Hanna Barbara's Godzilla show and whether there's a chance for a complete release from Warner Archives? I know Classic Media did a few DVD releases years ago because they were somehow tied to Henry Saperstein's old 60s-70s Godzilla holdings which they were also in charge of, but it seems like Criterion owns the entire 50s-70s run of Godzilla in the West now.

>>98696050 I realize it's not your area, but any news on the streaming service? Are they porting over the Looney Tunes, Fleischer and similar stuff from the WB You Tube subscription service, or is that going to remain.

Retail Porky is coming along very nicely, all of the sound issues are fixed and all of the cartoons of the retail set are 100% remastered from 35MM negatives, it will se a DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K Blu-Ray release hopefully by the second half of this year.
Bosko, Buddy and the rest of Black and White is archive only, it will also contain the hand full of 2 strip color cartoons the studio did in the studio as well, a few double dips but like Porky Pig 101 they will be taken from older Golden/Platinum Collection set, unlike Porky Pig 101 it will see a Blu-Ray and 4K Blu-Ray release as well.
4K Blu-Ray release should most likely show up on Warner Archive this year, they will be pressed but don't expect much out of it in it's first year.
>Hanna Barbera We did some digital transfers of some unannounced projects intended for the Boomerang streaming service but those will get DVD releases through Warner Archive.
Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? will get a retail Blu-Ray release, when it will get a release is still being decided.

I have a few questions Warner archive: 1) Will they be anymore new to DVD/Bluy of classic Looney Tunes shorts? I would like Daffy Duck/Bugs Bunny 101 sets ;-P 2) Any plans for a DVD release "The Banana Splits" in there original uncut 1 hour form? I have the UK DVDs but the episodes are heavily edited :( I've heard they were plans to release hour long episodes but got cancelled. 3) Any plans to release also "CB Bears", "The Flintstones Comedy Show" (1980), MGM Cartoons (Happy Harmonies/Harman and Ising/Tex Avery Shorts.), Popeye (King Features studios)? Thanks Warner Archive :D

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe in your last Q&A here you said you guys were working on (slowly but surely) releasing all the Censored Eleven cartoons. 1. How's that coming along 2. Do you think Disney should take a page out of Warner's book and release their more "infamous" cartoons (like "Song of The South") with warnings at the beginning saying that they're products of their time?

Warner Archive staff member
>>98697258 1. The cartoons have been remastered years ago and have been rescanned in 4K.
We could release them and a few other racist cartoons like Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips and Tokio Jokio on a single DVD/(4K) Blu-Ray release but we found out that it will be much better PR if we don't bundle all of those racist cartoons on 1 disc, best to spread them out on dedicated Bugs Bunny, Tex Avery, Bob Clampett and Chuck Jones sets alongside Bosko, Buddy and the rest of Black and White (Hittin' the Trail for Hallelujah Land and Tokio Jokio) and have them be buried with in more "non-racist" cartoons so that you have to dig in to get to those cartoons.

>>98697412 >Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips and Tokio Jokio on a single DVD/(4K) Blu-Ray release but we found out that it will be much better PR if we don't bundle all of those racist cartoons on 1 disc Well, Disney released a collection of their Wartime cartoons as a two-DVD set (stuff like Education For Death and Der Fuehrer's Face) and I don't recall hearing any controversy over that. I'd totally buy a complete set of Warner's Wartime cartoons if they had shorts like Nips The Nips, Any Bonds Today, and SNAFU.

>>98699567 >Someone redpill me, who the fuck is TMS Fag and why shouldn't we believe OP because of him? A raging autist who used to post on various forums like ToonZone under the name "Famicom". Claims to be an animation historian with insider connections but actually just pulls shit out of his ass. He has an autistic obsession with the Japanese studio TMS and will NEVER NOT TALK ABOUT THEM and derails any thread about Disney Afternoon or Spielberg cartoons with unsolicited, bullshit tangents about TMS. Hence the name "TMS fag". This isn't the first time he's masqueraded as an employee from an animation studio, either.
Easiest tells for TMS Fag/Famicom is the fact that he will randomly bring up TMS, Hamtaro or Blue Jacket Lupin III. Of all the things in the world, he cannot stop himself from entering them into any given conversation.
When called out for being TMS Fag, he will reply "that was not him" or "I am not him". In the case of this thread, when Warner Archive Fraud was accused of being TMS Fag, he magically came out of the woodwork to say "he is not me".
He likes to use words like "debunked" whenever someone calls him out on his made up bullshit. And it IS made up bullshit. He once claimed that TMS was going to animated the DuckTales reboot because an employee tweeted a photo of a restaurant menu that had poultry on it. When the show came out, no TMS to be found, TMS Fag went on about how "Disney couldn't afford them so they used a cheaper studio". Point out it's bullshit? "Debunked".
Just tell him to fuck off. He's absolutely crippled with autism.
