>>98667090>For Snyder to use them as Morrison did or at least incorporate their symbols into their attacks. Not blanket "Here are those big bads from that one story at it again" as we see hereThat isn't what's going on though? I mean, we actively see them playing a role in cprrupting the Bleed and twisting it into osmething nightmarish. Hell, if we're willing to start going into pure speculation, they're the reason as to why the Bleed was so discordant and chaotic as the Thule traversed it, and why it was so difficult for Raven, Cyborg and Flash to pinpoint the House Of Heroes. They were already doing their usual schtick through most of this issue. They weren't there just for the purpose of "background" as you're implying.
>Each Gentry could have easily fit into the origins for the evil batman. instead they're just used as background. They really couldn't. The Gentry may be embodiments of Dark archetypes, but from what we've seen of them, they never take a direct hand (Heh) in things, nor do they necessarily influence them all too much. At least, not in the same way as the Dark Knights have been. So whilst it's HIGLHY likely that the Knights are just tiny representations of the archetypes that are the Gentry, they aren't a direct result of Gentry interference.
Fuck, I doubt the Gentry would even care about the Dark Multiverse. It has absolutely nothing that they could ever possibly want (aside form many useful pawns of course). It's a dead void of possibility, where stories don't even last long enough for them to savor their suffering and despair for any longer than a few seconds before they fade away.
