>>98616883>Dont you love it how if youre movie is bigoted and racist you can get awards and praise now,Wow
I think im gonna have write an essay.
Get Out, was not "racist", in any context of the word racist.
Racism is the hatred of another race, and the feeling that your race is superior to other races. Get Out is a Lovecraft play on the racist terminology. The weird country like folk who abduct black people and try to switch into there bodies is not saying "WOW BECAUSE ONLY WHITES WOULD DO THIS FUCK WHITEY!" No, thats what the average Afro-centrist Black girl would have you believe because they always have the Black vs White in there mind Jordan Peele's direction for the characters like the Father and Mother saw that they idealized the Black Figure. Saying the Black man has everything from strength and masculinity to basic willpower then attractiveness, and for the added mix of a white/Asian/ect. mans brain they would become more than they are.
The overarching theme of the movie was that "racism" is also the fairest compliment. There was no "Black vs White" Political commentary, or any "Speechy" moments because also this was a psychological horror film, with a great premise already. It never condemns any of the people in this movie, there's no political questions being asked here or their.
Its an assertion on racial commentary.
I would also like to add that this was a masterfully directed film. Jordans shots always focused on short angles to get the scope of the characters and there personalities, and the Hypnotism scene showed a parallel between him and the family.
I disagree entirely anon, Even China disagrees with you. Get Out was a great psychological horror, i'll even put it up on the tier of "In the Mouth of Madness".
Im done with you for now.
