>>98414738What's with making Deathstroke a Batman villain, anyway?
Even though I liked his boss fight in Arkham Origins, it felt weird that this supposedly early, young, unrefined Batman could just take down Deathstroke like that. ESPECIALLY on the same night that he takes down Lady Shiva, Bane, and six other mercenaries, all before sitting down for Christmas dinner.
In the comics, Bane broke the Bat. And I always feel like Deathstroke could have been the guy who broke the Bat if he wanted to, he just never cared to because this is just a job to him, it isn't about proving himself. And Shiva, she's pretty much the top martial artists in the DCU. She'd have the lunch of an early, unrefined Batman.
I mean, the idea of the game was cool, but it didn't seem to work without diluting all these characters. And it also seems like part of a trend of media adaptations demoting Deathstroke to "Batman villain" and nerfing him (this guy was an enemy to the ENTIRE TEEN TITANS, plus Dick Grayson has few enough villains as it is, it kind of sucks to take one of them away from him and give him to his daddy).
