>>98394580>That was taken back, or did you forget the Mammon used his jew magic to kill Yabalchoath and take back the key?I don't recall ever the key being taken back, just that Yabalchoath was super killed.
>You couldn't be more wrong. In Abaddon's own wordsI think that can be interpreted very differently, especially now that we have context of his true state of senility.
>this isn't going to be some switcheroo where Abaddon spends time building up Mammon only to make some nobody the actual villain of his book, and if you honestly believe thats whats going to happen, you have missed some very important traits of the setting.I think the villain of the actual book is not even a thing, but stagnation. Incubus, Jagganoth, and Metatron are made up to be these big bads plotting the downfall of the Seven Demiurges. Turns out that's a good thing, as things are stagnating and every Demiurge we've gotten a close look at is suffering in some manner from their power.
The red herring villains, the demiurges, are indeed powerful, but they will also be tragic and pitiable. They will be as much victims as perpetrators.
I firmly believe this is the direction the story is going, and that Abaddon is deliberately challenging the expectations of the reader.
