The only thing Mr.Cobblepot demands is respect and I don't see why people have such a hard time giving it to him: he's an incredibly successful, savy, business man and basically the largest investor and contributor to Gotham that isn't fucking Bruce Wayne. It's completely un-fucking-warranted, everybody looks at Cobblepot and makes fun of him because he's a little eccentric or 'unusual' and it's, like, why the fuck is everyone suddenly 12?
The other thing about working for The Penguin in Gotham is that there's a decent chance you're already working for Mr.Cobblepot and don't actually know it, seriously, he's one of the most important -economically speaking- persons in the city.
