And I am of a mind that it all should have led far more interesting places with less over-complication and more grand a scope.
It's just so odd how very small the world feels in this book. They rush from one location to the next with no effort and don't do much with any of it to then confine everyone in one space and bash characters into each other to no real satisfactory end.
Like, the whole fucking story is: Karnak gets Lunella a birthday present nobody likes.
There is a good idea in here, and it's kinda fun to watch, but I have the feeling that you could do it so much better.
