>>97988310People seem to forget that one of DC's most popular and well-recognized female characters, Harley Quinn, started out as then-unseen extra in an animated adaptation. If any one of these characters gets a good treatment in a non-comics medium, their popularity would increase.
I reckon right now would be the best opportunity to relaunch a new DCAU, what with the success of Wonder Woman and the serious need for DC's other characters to be featured in something good again. And by extension, this would give well-deserved exposure to those underutilized characters and settings. Whether that be a Wonder Woman animated series, or a new Superman series, whatever, if any of those were pulled off correctly, it would seek to benefit these female villains, like Livewire, Banshee, Volcana and pretty much most of Wonder Woman's rogues gallery.
