I kinda hate this argument. Because it always just seems like a front for "I hate 99% but there's one magical example somewhere out in the world that would be fine but it would have to exist in the smallest of small confines of what I find acceptable."
That's probably not you, but that's what I think when people make that argument. "I like sexy stuff... just not that, or that, or that, or that that that and you should change that stuff."
It just seems like apologism for the people who realise that letting it be pure opinion won't help they force this to change when there's an audience who wants it, so they go for the "W-Well actually sexiness in media leads to REAL violence against women so you should get rid of it even if it's profitable" bullshit.
Not really targeted to you, I'm just frustrated and depressed about it. I've stopped talking about it and given up. They get to keep what it means to be a 'female fans'. Fandoms being mainstream was a mistake.
