Honestly it would have been okay if they introduced the girl and not poof, the dog, or anyone else for that matter. I think she would have provided for an interesting dynamic had they not cluttered the show with so many damn new characters.

Here's a question for ya:
What if shows that had multiple seasons (like this) shifted the focus of main characters from season to season?
For example, what if season one (maybe two and three) was focused on just Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda, and the shenanigans that they have. Then move it on to season two (or four, depending on the previous one), and it focused on a completely different kid in a different city with different Fairies? Would that work for this show? Would that work as a premise for any show?

actually that's not why the back half of the season is in Flash, it's because the season's order got extended unexpectedly, and using Flash was the only way to fulfill the order in time
