>>97724960>ust chilled his Angsty teenager ways and just communicate with his father (like ALL TEENS SHOULD DO BY THE WAY SADLY THEY DONT AND IT CAUSES PROBLEMS ALL THE DAMN TIME)It’s true that this behavior is frustrating and problem causing, but in a weird way it’s also kind of natural and necessary. Teens are at a life step where they need to start figuring shit out on their own, and when they seek help they need to learn to start looking to their peers instead of always to their caregivers and authority figures. Unfortunately this means fucking up more often than not because they and their peers are inexperienced and hormonal and have horrible judgement, but if the alternative is to stay in the life stage where they look to their parents to tell them how to behave and to fix things for them, they’re never going to learn independence.
Also, it’s the lifestage where most teens are starting to grasp that their parents are human too and that they also make mistakes and have flaws, and the teen/adolescent needs to pick and choose when and when not to listen to them, especially if they don’t have the luxary of having Goofy for a parent. Unfortunately, again, the teen in question usually makes the wrong decision, but they’re supposed to learn from these mistakes.
