Prison-like animation studio, "everyone is replaceable", big heads that only drop by to bark orders, sarcastic references to efficiency mandates that greatly sacrifice quality, etc.
Reminds me of Nuts and Bolts' constant references to unfeeling corporate overlords, statistical trends driving design decisions / conceptual marketability, tight deadlines, and deceptively small budgets right after Rare was picked up by Microsoft. Apparently they were doing it as a way to tell their new bosses how unsatisfied they were with their conditions, and the suits just didn't care as long as they thought the end result would make money. Wonder if it's the same sentiment or these writers and animators are just being sad sacks.
