Why doesn't the MCU offer dramatic moments like thes? I have been following the X-Men movies since I was a kid, and it was marketed to me through toys and whatnot, so what is the MCUs excuse for having no dark or dramatic moments of significance? Kind of makes their movies seem like pointless fluff

same reason they changed the Infinity War teaser from being like the Age of Ultron trailer when shown at Comic Con to being less dramatic and serious.

it makes them more money to not do scenes like that. look at the two Hulk movies and the Snyder DC movies. they all didn't make as much money as the MCU movies.

if x-men come into the mcu, they might get a shot at one or two movies like those hulk movies, but if they fail then they're getting a ragnarok style makeover and getting a director like james gunn to make them.
