>>97435881You have to understand that modern day men are EXTREMELY emasculated. So they're raised culturally to grow up into cucks, simps, lame dumbasses, etc. I don't know if you've noticed but competent and admirable male characters is something that has disappeared from Western Culture. if they could? They'd make Batman a Soyboy. But they can't touch that one due to his iconic status. But for example the latest incarnation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Nick? Leonardo is a dork who bases his leadership from cartoons, Donatello has been destroyed because being smart means you're a complete beta loser with creepy stalker tendencies, Mikey? Well he's always been written terribly. I guess Raphael is the only one that isn't so badly done....oh wait in Nick TMNT he dates a woman who is stronger than him and when they kiss it's Raphael who does the womanly lifting his leg bit.
So yeah, male characters in general are very emasculated nowadays. Who the hell wants to be Mordecai from Regular Show? Who the hell wants to be Steven Universe? Who the hell wants to be Finn from Adventure Time who was written very badly for a while and now when the show is ending it just feels like they're giving Finn a little pity pussy at the last minute in a forced bullshit.
And now we got the cuked elephant from this show. Face it, male characters suck in modern times. Don't even try to say Avatar had good ones, because outside of Iroh (who is a side character to develop the wimpy Zuko) things are very bad for the creation of male characters.
I don't like KO from OK KO, he looks and acts annoying, like anyone remember the scene when he's being fed candy and he's getting petted around like a dog (yes I know about the other dog transformation ep), it's just lame. Alright very fucking lame.
The worst part of it is that I can't even say that recent animes have decent protagonists. I think Boruto is garbage. Made in Abyss? Story of a beta who cannot live without his pussy? Enough.
