It was great in the first 2 seasons, funny in the 3rd and 4th seasons, and unwatchable in the 5th season due to flanderization (Eddy being more of a dick, Ed having no intelligence, Double D being a Gary Stu)

The characters are a little too detailed for my taste as well. My eyes are sensitive to that sort of thing. Especially that terrible wavy line effect. They should have designed them more simplistic.

A lot of people seem to hate the whole school thing but there were some good episodes, like the one where double d has to deliver edd and eddy's grades (the umbrella gag was pretty good). >>97424283 gives some good examples too

The series finale was also god tier and one of the most satisfying of any series. I mean, sure it's basically the wizard of oz but still.

True a good writer would have had them come up with good things to sell to the other kids. It stinks of lazy writing and lack of creativity to have them be scams.

I had the same problem with Spongebob. Never liked it, and I couldn't for my life figure out why people here liked it so much.
But seeing how beloved it was here, I realized that maybe the show wasn't bad, and instead it just wasn't my type of show, and then I stopped being salty at people for liking what they like.

Season 5/6 is my favorite season of the series, I have no idea why I see people shit on it.

They moved from doing Summer episodes to doing School episodes, yeah, but the show was always about the 3 Eds doing obnoxious shit, trying to fit in, trying to scam all the kids, etc. It doesn't have to be set in Summer for that to happen.
