>>97373954I didn't mind that he didn't die since it reflects the depth of character for Metroman. He wasn't a hero for the sake of doing good. Since he was a baby he was automatically adored and a magnet of attention. He performed for others his whole life not for the betterment of others but as an egotistical stroke for him until he got smacked by his midlife crisis in what a performance seal he was conditioned to be. When he realized his life was meaningless he retreated into isolation and allowed the world go to shit because he was doing things form himself instead of the world.
Now granted Tighten wasn't his problem, per say, but he also refused using his powers to put Tighten in check and save an endangered populace from a powermad psycho who was certainly more dangerous than Megamind, which is morally questionable. Pretty sure if the OP's scene hadn't happened he would have let Roxanne die than get sucked into hero business again.
