>>97268735>Part 7 was the least popular part of JoJo in Japan. And the main problem of Jolyne and part 6 was the lack of amazing, over the top powers
Bohemian Rhapsody, Underworld, Jailhouse Lock, Sky High, C-Moon, Made in Heaven, Survivor, Dragon's Dream, Limp Bizkit, Highway to Hell, Heavy Weather and Planet Waves are the most amazing and/or over the top fights of the whole series. The entire point of SBR is that Araki felt that after part 6 he couldn't do any more bizarre shit and decided to tone it down instead.
Part 6 was a headache for Araki because he had the publisher on his ass all the time demanding him to change shit. Starting with the protagonist. A lot of the things he had planned were denied by the publisher (Hermes' and Jolene's romance, an all-female cast, etc.)>>97268757
You're proving my point. The whole point behind "representation is not important" is that the race and sexual orientation of characters doesn't matter, but it clearly does because movies with people that isn't white and isn't male doesn't sell as well.>b-b-but Wonder Woman was mediocre!
So is every superhero movie, yet they don't have to manufacture controversy around them to sell well.>>97268877
Maybe. The thing is that marketing teams are amoral. They will do anything to sell a product. Just look at viral campaigns.
If black lead characters were more profitable than white lead characters, then they would market that more and more movies with black lead characters would be made. But they aren't. Ergo, representation does matter for the white population (which is the one they're marketing towards, sinve most of the middle and upper class Americans are white.)
