>>97209448It's completely free interpretation on my part, but the very fact Doom implies that he had circuitry made to shield him from Kilgrave's power implies his will is not enough or at least he took precaution under the belief or possibility it isn't, which implies to me that display is in fact just a power play. He likely has further circuitry in the suit.
However it's alternatively likely that Michelinie just wrote himself into a bit of a corner where he couldn't have Doom make such a display without the implication that Doom was vulnerable and had contingencies and opted instead of making Doom entirely vulnerable or unaffected to make it seem like said contingencies were just in the mask, but still regardless of intention like I said the sheer fact the alternative exists because of what's written there can be no denying some form of precaution was taken before, and therefore can and likely is being taken further on. If Kilgrave had thought for a second he could have just called Doom's bluff and asked why he should believe he's disabled any safety measures, Doom of course would be unable to prove this without bringing in someone who Kilgrave could control and could be shielded by Doom's tech, which just leads into a back and forth matter of just how much Doom would feel daring to make a point. It's likely he'd just walk out though and concede he can't prove it without Kilgrave immediately or eventually making him regret doing so.
