>>97135800I grew up in a really unfortunate time to be a fan of Ninja Turtles. I was born in 1992, so I had completely missed the big wave of TMNT's popularity. My parents had been fans of the Mirage comics, so we had some of those around the house , and I have some vague memories of watching the live-action movies as a toddler (apparently enough repeats of the first film caused "pizza" to be one of my first words), but by the time I was aware enough to actively seek out the cartoon, the show was on its last legs.
I definitely remember watching an episode with Carter in it, though I can't remember if it was season 9 or one of his few appearances in season 10. I remember begging my parents to get me some episodes on VHS, but by that point a lot of stores didn't have them anymore (I also remember begging my grandmother for Turtle toys, but same thing, most stores had dropped them by 95/96). The only two tapes I could get were "The Shredder is Splintered" (which had the last episode of season 1 and the first episode of season 2) and the Burger King promo tape with "Sky Turtles" on it. I loved watching those so much, to the point where I wore down the Sky Turtles tape (though ironically I think it was still in better condition than the print they put on the DVDs).
I did get to see Next Mutation as it aired though...sort of. About halfway through the series, my very first TV committed suicide during an episode and fried itself, and I never bothered to watch another episode until just a few years ago. True story.
