It changes over to silver before too long, so elements of the silver age are already present, but not yet dominant.

Yeah, things actually start at the beginning of the Silver Age in 1955, though we've talked about Silver Queen having been around fighting Nazis during the 40s, and GG would've been around for a few "real-world" years before puberty struck.

Robot hero's are cool, but at the same time we've played with the idea of a giant multi-room filling supercomputer which revolutionize how hero's fight crime by doing really mundane things like monitor lots of radio frequencies simultaneously. I feel like this hero's existence would undermine this.

Space princesses are always welcome. But similar to thunderwoman intelligent aliens seem like a pretty big thing to introduce to the setting as part of the backstory of a minor character.

I'm also not sure if 9 characters might not be too many. Would the strip where they get introduced just be giving their names or would it also give some backstory? Because if it's the later 9 hero's almost definitely wouldn't fit comfortably.

Have you ever read any of DC's Metal Men comics?
Super advanced robots running around in 1962 with "responsometers" being why they were so intelligent and human-like, but the man who created them being unable to successfully duplicate the process.

I'm just saying, an android hero in that era isn't unheard of, they'd just be so 'advanced' they'd function more like magic than like science. Meanwhile, the big reel-to-reel computers would still be more practical for the time.

And it's mainly suggestions for character to fill in this strip from last thread.

The SOS strip doesn't go too deeply into their backstories. Right now we just need designs to fill the room, though some details about the team as whole would help make the strip less short.

Everyone forgets when these threads went through a dead patch so they just started making Golden Girl threads on the board in general.

All this dominance does is drive away people wanting to discuss other things, and all the defence of this dominance does is make arguments for why they're right to want to not bother.

There hasn't been any new non-Golden Girl content for months.

How does people freely spending their time drawing stuff they took interest in count as "conning" in any way? There's no logic to that.

Same with BreastQuest, many people like Briana's design for her features be it her tits or whatever else so they draw her.

Since Jade Empress is on the hunt for magical artifacts, i thought that artifacts are rather often an origin. But not!catwoman would work too. It isnt a important part, so she just could be a crimefighter.

Could be too many, i just collected ideas and developed them. These are the ones i liked and developed further. But after looking at that page, i thought too, they are many.

My ideas for the crimebusters were 5 heroes with 6 sidekicks that could build a teentitan like sidekick group. Which seemed for me that 5-6 members are rather optimal. Maybe these 9 are changing roosters?

I think more than lack of interest is the fact the site itself is broken, has no way to curb the likes of the bots spamming illegal material on it and other issues.

They guy in charge would basically have to rebuild things from the ground up which is just too much effort to ask of someone for a site that gets so little traffic.

Here's an idea. Let's get some ideas flowing with random scenarios. Choose two random characters from the /co/nservatory and have them be pitted against each other.

I pulled The Veil and Delta

The Veil could be stealing another rare tapestry and throughout her entire heist she doesn't realize Delta was there all along hidden in plain sight. Delta was disguised as the guard, the pedestrians, and finally the person on the roof Veil bumped into. After their fight, Veil confronts her in the middle of it asking why they were following her. Delta just responds with just that they were bored then leaves. It's then revealed that Delta stole back the tapestry throughout the fight with the Veil's knowledge and keeps it for themself.

To be honest the name ringed a bell, but i dont know what that site is about. After looking up, i saw its a smaller 4chan but for me with less interesting looking threads.

The problem i have is that most ideas or things are discussed for 1 or 2 threads than vanish from the schedule.
That and there is already many things discussed make it hard to enter that.
Since i like the concept of GoldenGirl, i know more and could look up some infos. Maybe she is rather new, have many pictures, strips with background and i was there while she was developed heavily, i have a better grasp on her than BeetleKnees for example.

As a drawfag I'm gonna lay a harsh truth down on /coc/. The reason GG gets so much art drawn isn't tits, it's because her design is easy to bang out in five minutes. Marley and Motion are similar in terms of simplicity. That's why they have a lot of art as well.
Most of the other stuff is floated around in these threads is clearly designed by a committee of idea guys and writers that don't understand that all those little character building details just make the drawing process take five times as much effort and time. Simple is better if you want drawings for free.

I pulled Betty Baker and Squid Pro Quo as the next scenario.

On one of the Justice Coalition's training excursions, Betty takes the younger members out for more intense training. On the way there drones from the Sageworthy Society intercept them separating the younger members one by one. Betty takes out drones one by one but then finds out she's surrounded. I've been trying to figure out what her magic actually is. It seems like the only thing she's done outside of using magic items is float and make weird glowing mist, but I never did decide. Maybe it's just some sort of basic magical emanation? I don't imagine it's much more than that, to be honest. I kind of like her being pretty low-key powers wise.

She could show up at the end of issue 1, but I think a dark stinger like her's shouldn't be in the first issue.

Issue 1 is their first day out with the mock battles.

Issue 2 sets up the archbots and any backstory stuff we need to include that wasn't in issue 1.

Issue 3 could show the economic changes that have happened to the city and how the people react to their new super residents and then end with the Theta stinger.

I really just want someone to post all the stuff about them in one condensed post so it can finally be sorted out and added to the wiki for future reference, that way we'll finally stop forgetting half the stuff we discuss about them on a regular basis.

It dosen't have to be magical monsters that they fight, it could be fantasy stuff. The problem is they don't know WHY they have these powers. The old pagan god gives them to 4 women who meet the criteria, but gives no reason for WHY the powers are given.

It could be an ancient deal he made with some mortal who helped him out, it could be for fighting a specific force, it could be as part of the process that sustains the old god's existence.

I'm guessing Nyxiontus makes a devastating pass towards Earth leaving heroes decimated in space. Just as he's about to reach the Earth's atmosphere, he's thrown through a portal. Left in a deep black universe he doesn't recognize he finds the Skull King watching him in the darkness. He offers the first words, something along the lines of "Do you have something you want to talk about?"and is promptly interrupted with violence. Skull King stands up nonchalantly and impresses Nyx.

Would Skull King fight back or stay locked in space with Nyx in attempts to calm him down?

Skull King is leagues above Nyxiontus, there's nothing he can do to Skull King.

So Skull King would just get back up every time until the space fiend relents and asks what's going on. Nyx I imagine is like one of those comical villains who are always thwarted at the end of every episode, only he was powerful, so powerful that almost no one ever survives an encounter with him.
I think Nyx really wants a hero to challenge him, someone he can fight with who won't die easily. He's a villain and he's not going to stop being a villain, but he's bored, to the point where his hobby is making heroes, or making people into heroes, propping them up to fight him later in the hopes one of them will be fun.

To all the other bad guys in the galaxy, they view Nyx as a sick fuck who likes to give people false hope, toying with them until he kills them.
But he genuinely wants a hero to "thwart" him, even if just a little so things stay interesting.

It's like if Dick Dastardly won every race even while intentionally sabotaging himself with his compulsive cheating to give everyone else a fair shot; he'd be so bored it wouldn't be funny.

Skull King would get Nyx to admit all of that.

Maybe its like "Only if they believe in me or magic, i have power". So he needs agents to advertise him. The more people believe in it, he gets more power. Maybe he sees it like tv/cinema ratings? Higher rating = more power.
Than you could say other dieties are similar. Some have their own group of heroes or villians . Others have monsters to get more "screentime" and more power.

I've thinking about a character based on Chris Chan. He would work like a cautionary tale about the importance of self improvement.
He has a powerful artifact call The Pygmalion Medallion, wich allows the user to create a clone of anyone that will serve your every command but the quality of the copy depends on the understanding that the user of the medallion has of the person who he wishes to copy.
If you want to create a copy of a hero, you have to comprehend how exactly his power works. But this guy is so lazy, so unimaginative, so selfcenter that he can only come up with horrible and weak clones.
He has an incredible power, and could become a great hero but instead of training, he uses the medallion to have copies of his favorite heroes to act like his friends,to tell him how cool and strong he is.
He is not good with critiques, he's rude and he's kinda of bully when he wants to.
He's attempting to create a copy of himself, a copy of how he envisions himself, a self-aggrandazing self-insert, but he cannot manage to create something that will exist more than an hour.

That sounds right, yeah... Literal smoke and mirrors tricks! Natural fog machines, a few minor charms, and some warding ability. Most of the serious magic probably comes from semi-unreliable or not entirety tested magic items.

I was thinking SG /co/le tag team, but it may be a bit complicated. But yes, Cole shouldn't be walking away from this with only scratches. Prolly msses with his face to taunt SG/ make her waste power or attention to focus on cole.

I was mostly thinking any items she used would be from the shop itself. So they're things she may not actually know the use of a lot of the time, and she has to be careful not to break or overuse anything if she wants to sell it. Normally she tries to avoid that and just goes for some very soft magic or hitting someone with something solid.

So far I'm thinking it as armor that can't be controlled as it isn't clothes. Defence boost. Maybe have a high-risk angle as it's SG giving cole power from her reserves, giving him control of shadows at the potential of SG running out of power and risk being killable.

I like her burning through her reserves. By the end of the fight she'll probably be back to however powerful she used to be, but still the most powerful of the pantheon since the rest of them got drained down to almost nothing.

I think a fitting end for the pantheon is SG keeping them in a doll house where they continue to act like how they've always acted, just now they're unable to cause anymore problems.

I was thinking more of splitting her power in half, she's still fighting gods while Cole is trying to solo CG.

And after the battle I mean SG still has some power left, rather than killing all of her pantheon she shrinks them down and puts them someplace where they can't do anymore harm.

Looks like a dollhouse to her, seems no different from their seclusion cloud town before SG's power creep to the gods within it.
Maybe looking at Skathi, a goddess who lost her pantheon, SG feels some sympathy for her own pantheon despite them never caring much for her. I think that'd be the final kicker to show SG has changed as a person.

Anyway, the simplest interaction for this is that Britainment had got a lead of something huge coming their way ie Regicide's mask. Strummer being Strummer misses this important meeting and is strolling her way to work late. On her way, she here a commotion in an alleyway somewhere. A bunch of thugs and police force laid littered across the place by Regicide. Just as he's about to punch the last scared copper, Strummer pulls him out of the way taking the hit herself. Regicide knocks her down and she keeps getting up. He starts throwing in bone breaking techniques and she shrugs it off per usual. Sooner or later, the battle of attrition ends when Regicide's mask alerts him of a bigger threat incoming. Regicide wants to stay to find out how he's going to kill it, but the mask says it'll spell death for the two of them. As they leave Strummer as a puddle of broken bones, then comes some mysterious member from Britainment observing the scene.

2. Regicide is a difficult character to use since his whole thing is he's supposed to murder heroes.

This is actually a perfect match up since Regicide can be as brutal as he's supposed to be, and Strummer can get back up and cuss him out every time.

-Seasons girls break to go save people by cutting them out of their clothes
-CG brings up a wall of gods also under her control to block /co/le
-Skathi and SG also team up with /co/le
-/co/le is getting beat on pretty badly since his powers keep giving out until SG gives him a loan in the form of her shadow
-Gods are well enough under control that Skathi can finish up with the pantheon while /co/le and SG go to deal with CG

How does the fight with CG play out?

Writing a story just to kill a character is boring to me though.

Regicide is the type of character where he just dosen't feel like he fits with the rest of the setting or would be better as a one-off bad guy of an arc of a single story rather than a recurring bad guy who is just out there.

I feel like he's the Heartbreaker (the brutal hero) of the villains in that regard.

I would think CG's main method of attack would be terraforming for SG and some kind of smiting maneuver with cole. If we want some thematic fighting perhaps the two need to get rid of SG shielding in the form of orbiting animated full plate. The problem is to think of a neat way to use shadows that we haven't seen yet. Although I think the final blow should come as an act of cole's trust in SG.

No. They're in modern day Europe, except something happened that caused a magic portal to snap backwards in on itself and collapse, causing every ancient magical item, every lingering enchantment, and every curse or charm in and around the EU to invert and spill its stored energy back out into the world. Tons of people died, long forgotten powers were awoken, gods and devils were set loose, etc. It's been a whole lot of trouble for everyone involved, but it's also caused a sort of resurgence of myth and fantasy into the world. The previous season guardians were all among those killed in the backlash, initially called "The Bad Thing that Happened" then later "The Inversion Event", so four eligible young women were quickly and somewhat indiscriminately rounded up and forced into the positions, just to make sure they were filled before some other more nefarious individuals had the chance to fill them.

This has caused some rather awkward issues of having pretty much zero actual idea just what their new job is supposed to be. Most anyone who could've known is dead, and the people currently running the show are just those who managed to survive the event by some lucky happenstance or other.

Seasons girls are in need of some narrative stories, so this is as good a place as any to start.

Girl who would become the winter representative has a problem with all the supernatural crap in her family's home and seeks a solution.

She learns she meets the qualifications to inherit some mystical powers from an ancient pagan deity and that the position is currently empty.
She goes for it, gets the power, is able to freeze ghosts and other spooks solid now.

So we know the original seasons' weapons were lost in the Inversion Event. If they stored magical powers, there's a question of what might have come from them when they were Inverted. Maybe there are four monstrous seasonal beasts, a giant bear covered in tangles of flowering plants, a massive boar with tusks like spears, a majestic stag with skin tough as oak, and a ghostly white fox surrounded by a bitter chill.

It could be necessary for reforging their weapons to somehow reclaim these creatures.

Thanks. I will like for him to go out Tetsuo style, after a fight with the other heroes and the self insert he calls "son", a rampage through the city, he is transformed into a mangled mess of his own copies. At the end of the line he's being watched over by his "clone", they have a one on one, the "self insert" maybe better than the previous attempts but still knows he will not live for long, he tells his creator that he will use whatever time he has left to do good and become his own person. We never find out where the "clone" went.

If we want to loosely adapt something from this, I think we could say Mari and Daisy both somehow ended up going through the rites on their own and managed to meet up before Britainment actually got back on their feet. It could be that they had to be done on the actual Equinox or Solstice appropriate to the season, which could setup the timeline where the first one Britainment actually puts in place is Fall (whose name I don't remember). Mari, having been a Season for several months at this point initially doesn't see why she needs to bother joining up with them, but is convinced by Daisy and by Britainment promising they can explain a bit more about the job. Then when the Winter solstice is about to roll around, Aurora takes the deal to join in order to get her home sorted out, which her family has probably been forced out of for nearly a year at that point.

I think the clothes are just meant to capture people and harvest their "belief".

Clothing goddess might have a slow area of effect, maybe it spreads like a zombie virus with each piece of clothing transferring it to every piece of cloth it touches.

So /co/le VS cloth /co/le and the other champion clothes at once while Skathi fights the pantheon and the seasons girls continue to do damage control.

What I mean is making the stakes something personal. Anyone can be threatened by the gods trying to destroy a town or mind control everyone or whatever, and that's fine for action stakes, but is there some way to take this specific event and make it *personally* threaten the protagonists on a deeper character level?

It's the difference between the demo team demolishing your house and having it be your friend trying to kick you out because you're being a deadbeat and a prick to him, and now you need to find a way to solve that problem before consequences occur. Or if you had to decide between protesting the demolition of a local historical landmark or letting it get demolished so you don't cause a schism in your relationship with the cute demolitionist.

I don't know, I'm bad at similes. The point is seeing if you can hit the characters personally in some way as opposed to figuring out how else to threaten the world.

Clothing goddess wants to enslave any mortal she can and feed off them for belief to sustain her growing power.
Which is what the pantheon was afraid SG was doing, and because they were afraid SG was doing that they ended up giving CG the idea for what she's doing now.

Actually, that's not a terrible idea. CG could be pretty powerful and all that, but the character-kicker here is that she gives SG an out and she has to have a reason not to take it. Threatens the actual foundation of the concept and offers a chance, as you say, to show SG's character development. I admit I don't know much about what you anons have been discussing so I don't know if there's anyone else that might be interesting for CG to give that "power and freedom" out to.

So CG is on the ground, not in the sky, not larger than life, but using clothing constructs to block their path and also the other gods of the pantheon as a god-meat shield.

And all of this is just to keep the heroes busy while her power grabs hold of more and more clothes in the surrounding area?

I think a team up with SG and cole is in order. Something that just came to my head, but since SG is so high teir in power, couldn't she use the shadow armor to not only normalize coles powers (keep them from crapping out) but also boost them a bit? having a buff in your known powers while also able to manipulate shadows may be a killer combo.

The million dollar question...I feel that we should have it so All CG's power is taken away, perhaps trying to make her wear WG's armor, once Skathi defeats the meat sheild the armor may be easier to handle. But Cole/ Cole and SG should get the last hit.

Yeah, and by technicality, having been involved in a fight with all the gods, SG gets the power boost that could give her the ability to compact her peers and put 'em in a dollhouse. Maybe have CG as a bird to keep her power craze in check.

What does /co/le dressed in SG/her shadow look like anyway?
Well with it being a shadow, probably a skintight element, maybe a thor like cape that clings to the floor (maybe his shadow adds to the look?)

Like a Golden Girl from a parallel dimension with all her backstory except her "Golden Girls". Thus when she crossed to "prime universe" parallel GG became jealous of prime GG and turned evil, swearing to steal them from her. Characters could refer to her as Iron Girl for being "flat as an IRONing board"

What are the jokes we can do with Iron Girl? Does she say her father owns a shower curtain manufacturing company? Is Iris the only one who figures out IG is a soviet?
Does Audrey realize who IG's secret identity is, but dosen't realize she's a soviet spy on top of that?

Because Audrey knows who Billy is outside of costume, but she can't prove it and knows what happens when someone tries to prove something like that by watching Iris' attempts.

I'm trying to think of a nice end hit, So far I got having Cole, SG, and the shadows in the immediate vicinity come to a colossal blow, knocking WG's armor off again, leaving CG a non threat.
Aftermath I have a more solid idea. Cole makes it known he appreciates SG growing beyond her upbringing. SG gains a huge amount of power from the gods from winning a fight against the pantheon, she uses it to revive WG and tell him that she's leaving their paradise and he can keep the rest in check. She teleports them to their "Home". SG informs Cole he is no longer bound to her anymore, maybe says he can call in for a few favors, no strings attached, cole thanks her, a little, having to stop himself from saying "My goddess" after so long, SG finally drops her name, and teleports away. Meanwhile, the actual home is shrunk down since it only needs to house one goddess, her tiny friends, and a particularly fashionable bird.

I didn't want to make it a blog post so does that look alright so far?

I was kinda implying a suit with the favors she owed. But that's not too out there, probably has a door set up to reach an apartment with a key card that she can give friends.

The problem with anything Iris is that she hasn't gotten enough focus to even reveal that in the story yet. Even her intro comic still hasn't been drawn. She's stuck as one panel in the A-Z, a handful of scripts which we have endless difficulty getting anyone to read, and a much of misc. pics.

It's part of the irritating collection of information that only exists in the threads as repeated since it has not been solidified into a comic strip or script.
Yet it is still important because it's the reason why Iris has code immunity, though it's not something that can even be revealed until much later since her immunity is also part of a running joke of "why" she is immune since nothing outwardly about her is against the code.

We'd need a journey to the center of the mind plot where GG has to go into Iris' subconscious for it to be actually revealed in-story.

The code, as I only tentatively remember it, forbids villains to be shown as sympathetic or redeemable, forbids gore/nudity/sexual content, and I think it had something about always portraying America in a positive light, but I'm not too sure.

The actual code and the "code" as we interpret it vary greatly since the real code is exceptionally difficult to work with.

She was also commanded to fight against the american heroes, thus she created her Iron Girl persona, creating it as an opposition against Golden Girl, because Katya considers GG to be the epitome of capitalism, for reasons unknown to her.

Yeah, so even if GG wasn't around to stop it, IG should fail at every attempt. GG being around to stop her is as the code intends, but Iris might even try to get herself killed to prove her point, so there could be times and situations where GG isn't around to intervene and IG fails at murdering Iris every time.

I like it. Makes a nice counter to Guardian.

I'm thinking that in the time between the Girl and Guardian eras, Katya managed to obtain enough data on SQ's bracers to allow the Russians to build their own strength-boosting bracers. Upon seeing her capitalist counterpart reemerging onto the scene as Golden Guardian, she takes on the role of the Iron Assailant to demonstrate which side truly has the upper hand in the arms race.

I like the idea of furthering the counterpart concept with a magic-versus-science angle.

I would like that by that point in the story, Katya actually considers Audrey to be her best (and probably only) friend, thus she would even stop her crimes in order to help her.

Of course she still hates GG and is darn red communist, but Audrey is just as important for her as her mission... or it is going to much against the code?

Maybe by that time on the story, her constant clinging to Audrey gave her a small, just small immunity to the code, enough for her to care for Audrey as a friend, but nothing else

I want to make sure things are tempered before adding them in and for all I know she could still have some more developments in the works.

I'm just cautious when it comes to adding things to the wiki during the thread they were made in since past experience makes me think as soon as something gets added it either stops being talked about entirely or it limits creative changes during the early time of the creations development.

I don't want to dip the hot iron in water too soon or it might crack.

That's what all the past experience in this tells me.

Katya Stranitsa is a girl from URSS Russia, who was raised and trained to become a spy, trained in gymnastics, hand-to-hand combat, etc...

She was sent to Platinum City in order to investigate the magic stuff that gathers there as an undercover student in the local high school.

She surprised eveyone because she looks like an exact replica of Audrey Page, except for her platinum blonde hair, the shape of her freckles... and her small boobs, although that is something only Audrey, Iris and Billy notice.

She was also commanded to fight against the american heroes, thus she created her Iron Girl persona, creating it as an opposition against Golden Girl, because Katya considers GG to be the epitome of capitalism, because gold is the basis in the global economy, and thus the lifeblood of capitalism.

Katya in the school hides her heavy russian accent with a 50's surfer girl accent and uses Audrey as a decoy best friend clinging and hugging her. Of course, she has no idea that Audrey is her enemy GG.

In the time between the Girl and Guardian eras, Katya managed to obtain enough data on SQ's bracers to allow the Russians to build their own strength-boosting bracers. Upon seeing her capitalist counterpart reemerging onto the scene as Golden Guardian, she takes on the role of the Iron Assailant to demonstrate which side truly has the upper hand in the arms race.
