But in the short term, you have to include it in any consideration, like Before Watchmen. And because this is apparently the canonical sequel to Watchmen, your brain is going to associate the two every time, and so will new readers. DC will also use it in consideration for any time they squeeze out new Watchmen shit, so unless it is so unpopular among the normal readers that it just gets intentionally forgotten about it's going to have some staying power.
When does short term turn into long term? I don't know, maybe someone does. But it won't be for a while, that's for sure.
