>>96864972>I heard film is hard to get into but you’re following your passion so that’s just, I dunno it’s inspiring.I wouldn't say it's "hard" in that there's no way to get into any part of the entertainment industry; I'm not worried about that as much as a lot of the curriculum is skills for stuff like setting up the camera for news stations. Not knocking that though, I mean I guess it's a safety net.
As the semester winds down I'm focusing more on my inevitable Nick application. The real fun thing is I'm using their optional portfolio space to show myself with a dropbox containing my idea for an animated movie, with an audioplay of one scene and a full animatic of the other. I'm getting friends to do the voices and everything.
I feel like I'm not putting as much work into grinding my art, but I just can't with time constraints and worrying about classes. I can find time for this shithole though so I guess that's no excuse.
>>96865004>unless you're implying that studios like Disney and Blue Sky don't do their CG animation in-house?I believe DisneyToon (Disney's official B-list studio for all of the direct-to-video sequels beneath actual WDAS) has its a lot of its models made at some place in India. If the mouse actually does buy Fox there's probably going to be a shift with a lot more grunt work coming from Blue Sky (not that talking animals: the studio was ever really that creatively ambitious in the first place).
