i could see two other versions of this

1. BOTW styled open world but covering the entire 4 kingdoms, combat by platinum

2. fire emblem meets FTL, where you're jumping from settlement to settlement fighting random encounters, gaining experience and meeting companions, but each turn the fire nation gets closer and closer
