This show falls flat on its face whenever Star and Marco are split from each other, which is why the writers panic and thrust them back together again even if it ends up making Marco look like a pathetic beta orbiter.

I felt nothing when Jarco split, because they gave it no time to simmer. Same with Marcos two friends getting mad at him then apologizing because we hadn't seen them since s1 anyway.

To be fair, having a pair of interdimensional scissors basically makes him a wizard, forgetting the fact he's actually like 30 years old.
