>>96659440The only problem is that, if you actually get Major Depression during your teenage years (because, yes, those crazy hormones and shit don't actually go right all the time and can just do damage), no one fucking listens to you and you realize that you can't talk to anyone about your problems because your formative interacts about telling your family about your depression is them treating you like you're being childish.
Take it from someone who got grounded for having their first panic attack when they were 16 because your dad thinks you're just being an asshole making a scene; when you realize that your folks aren't going to take you serious when you open up to them, it makes it that much harder to ever open up to them.
Also, suburban parents tend to be shit anyway; they think ALL teenage problems aren't worth talking about because they'll just "figure it out on their own".
