Anyhow, Sunstone is actually the funniest book I own, and it's not so much that the jokes are good, it's just that when reading it I end up feeling like I'm with friends and I end up laughing with them. He really did an amazing job of making everyone feel real.
If you are interested in another story with BDSM, there is a trilogy of novels I would recommend. Kushiel's Legacy is a fantasy book that rolls fantasy, politics, spying, love, BDSM sex and war all into one book. Her writing in this trilogy is spectacular and very vibrant. Just a warning, the BDSM becomes extremely dark and gets into some really really gruesome rape by the last book. But it does come out with the light at the end and there is a good long healing story to make up for the brutal bit.
