>>96545204I hate Gerry Duggan. He's a good writer but he's turned Cable into a genuinely cruel and spiteful asshole and he's ruining the character for me. I know nearly no one gives a fuck about Cable, but I do and he sucks and is a cunt in a very unenjoyable way. It's shit because he's one of the best writers Marvel has at the moment but he insists on shitting up Cable and ruining Cable and Deadpool's friendship.
The MCU is one of those things that sound like shit on paper and it's all fine and dandy to shitpost about capeshit but once you actually are in the cinema watching the movie it's almost always fucking great. The MCU is great in general.

>>96546871 is right to an extent. You have a lot of young (not that there's anything wrong with that) and wildly creative creators these days who are shit at writing on a professional level.
I also worry that a lot of these creators can't write for anyone except people their own age in some way and can't put themselves in the shoes of kids and make something SOLELY for kids like the creators and writers of the past could with cartoons. Things like Sonic Boom's meta self aware shit, Teen Titans Go's multiple episodes and jokes towards the older fans, Gumball's SJW thing, etc.,... I just really wonder if kids know what the fuck is going on and I think they need to stop being so petty and unprofessional. If they want to make a cartoon for teens and adults then make a cartoon for teens and adults. If not then stick to trying to make something for kids instead of making it all about themselves or stuff that's relevant to older people. Gravity Falls managed to slip in jokes for adults in subtle ways like the Simpsons used to but a lot of shows, namely Teen Titans Go, are doing shit like dedicating entire skits/segments and episodes to getting back at angry 18-30 year olds on the internet or trying to appeal to them in the case of Sonic Boom.
