It's very hard to pitch a project in this industry to begin with. Guys who are seasoned veterans like Genndy, Butch, MacCracken, Antonucci, etc, still need to pitch dozens if not hundreds of different ideas before one sticks, and most of the times its the one that didn't even want. Banging some dude like Chris Savino who was an absentee in the industry for most of his career isn't going to get your newest Adventure Time ripoff approved. Maybe if you were banging the president of Viacom or something, but even that's a stretch. Likewise, Savino can't go to Cyma Zarghami and say "I don't like this co-worker, so don't listen to any story pitches they might have". Dude can't even fire someone without HR approval.
That's really the part of this story I found the most unbelievable and seemed like they needed to tack something on to make Savino seem like some sort of Weinstein level monster.
