>>96137660Kinda. It's a mixed bag.
It's been digitally recoloured and has that weird shiny look. Looks good on high quality paper but when reading digitally it can look kinda flat and lifeless.
On the other hand, the first few issues look great, lots of detail was lost from the original B&W version that's completely restored here.
On the other other hand the new version is packed with more extras and old Mick Anglo Marvelman stories than the actual fucking Alan Moore stories.
On the other other other hand the Yesterday Gambit (which was never printed or coloured in the Eclipse version) is finally here and in colour.
On the other other other other hand the fucking thing's been censored. It seems certain versions were ultra censored, but the trades mostly weren't. The one big thing that got cut was the word 'Nigger' at one point. Like... I get why they did it but it's midway through an issue that features the most horrific violence ever seen in a comic book and 'nigger' is where Marvel draws the line... Like, Marvel's priorities are kinda fucked.
Also, the final volume Olympus got recoloured and it doesn't look as good. Like Olympus's colours were perfect. It's not too bad though.
Finally Marvel seem to be being cunts to Neil Gainman and his run still isn't fucking finished.
So fuck Marvel basically, but it's nice to have these in print form and available again
