>>96112421Class, today you will be learning about Anon, and his futile struggle to derail a thread.
Anon was one of the many lurkers on /co/, a horrible, disgusting place which countless miserable wretches just like him use to briefly escape the bleak, festering ruins of their own terrible lives. On this awful, awful board, there are a vast array of threads, each with its own insipid topics and its own insipid posters. One can easily find a thread that interests them, and waste precious hours of their time on this earth trapped in its foul embrace. Upon his visit to the board, Anon perused the threads in the catalog, searching for one to languish in.
I bet you think Anon entered a thread he liked, didn't you?
You poor, doomed children.
Despite the amazing choices offered to him, and flying in the face of common sense, Anon deliberately entered a thread he did not like. Confronted with the stark reality of a thread he found unpalatable, Anon immediately posted a comment reflecting his distaste at its content, confident that his brilliant insight would cause everyone else to flee the thread in terror, and that the thread would fall off the catalog into obscurity.
This did not happen.
Instead, the thread continued, and Anon's efforts were all in vain.
The lesson here is that you should never try to do anything, lest you be subjected to a lifetime of unspeakable misery and mild butthurt.
I hope you've been paying attention, because you WILL be quizzed on this.
