Does the anthology book have any prequel stuff or is it all the second worst era? I'm at the Jawa story and so far I like it for the nost part, but I just feel missed potential.

I've never understood this whole PC master race meme, when almost every single person I have ever seen who doesn't have a recent console, doesn't actually have a computer good enough to play modern games, and they end up skipping everything to shitpost on 4chan instead.

I have a friend like that and it drives me crazy. On /v/ all day, but never gets to play games.

I bought a PSP, Xbox 360, and Xbox One just to play Battlefront 3 if you can believe it. My hype train for Battlefront has been ridiculous and semi-embarrassing, but I went through some retarded lengths and made some dumbass mistakes in the hopes of being able to play a Battlefront game online with my friends.

Between this and the Legends of Luke book coming up, I'm glad Lucasfilm is dibbing into canon legends. Stories that are "legends" within the actual canon of the universe. Like real-life stories and news, they are true, from a certain point of view. Details get lost and forgotten in storytelling.

Also theyve actually already been doing this. Both the IDW comic and "Tales from a Galaxy Far, Far Away: Aliens" have already used the unreliable narrator concept for Canon. Hell, in the latter, it's literally a story point from Bobba Jo.

It probably will drive the Wook autists insane, but I don't mind it so much. I'm actually pretty interested in the upcoming Luke book, I wanna know if the legends about him will be plausible bits of canon history, or ridiculous-but-fun fairytales. Both have high potential to be a great read.

Everything about his character - and probably the most important moment in all of Star Wars - is encapsulated when he throws aside his lightsaber and refuses to kill Vader. They are great when used properly like in this book. It makes the universe bigger and sparks speculation. Despite being informative not ever character has to be a walking wiki and talk like they have the same insight on the universe as the reader/viewer.

It's basically a whole routine of the mouse droid following conversations, picking up supplies and delivering messages. It gets involved in sending a needle down to the interrogator droid, where it bumps into an officer who then finds out its master is, like a Stormtrooper bishounen (TK-421). It then gets used to send messages between the two as they have an affair onboard the station. There's some timeskips and TK-421 gets killed by Han and Luke, they run into the droid as in the film and it ends up being injured during the Battle of Yavin later on, then gets found by another trooper who promises to fix it up. Problem is, this is seconds away from the station blowing up and the story ends mid-sentence.

The story itself is about Wuher, the cantina bartender that hates droids, but it has this ending where he's coming off of his shift and it spends a paragraph talking about Ackmena, whose in charge of the night shift, and it just kinda awkwardly tells us that she lives in this nice little settlement on the other side of Mos Eisley with her wife. It has nothing to really do with the rest of the story.
It could have just as easily ended on how Wuher ended up slightly misdirecting the Troopers that came in questioning what happened with the whole "Kenobi cutting a dude's arm off" thing because he was saved by a Jedi during the Clone Wars (his parents were gunned down by Battle Droids and that's why he hates droids) and feels some debt to them. But Wendig just wanted to put another little stamp of his own on Star Wars and tacked this little thing on.

I would say so, it's structured to be the internal monologue of the droid itself, intercut with the outside noises it picks up. So there's a lot of repetitive robot-speak and computer commands coming from it every time it is spoken to or it shuts down. Apparently, after fleeing from Chewie, it hides and shuts down as part of self-preservation protocol. Also, it refers to every part of itself as if it was a giant machine with "dorsal" and "ventral" surfaces, "cargo doors" etc. Pretty funny, given it's 10 cm tall.

The problem with this character, and MANY others in the latest films, is that they look too clean.
Look at his shirt, hardly any stains, no torn buttons or anything that suggests it's ever been worn. It's just draped lazily around the puppet. His suit has the bare minimum of detail as well. It looks like it was made on a Dr. Who episode budget, and the less said about ridiculous cirque du soleil clown on his side the better.

Disney needs to start putting in a lot more effort if they ever want to do the universe justice, this shit isn't cutting it.

Its not the same panel, the movement is in the background. It's not an uncommon comicbook trope to have panels repeat, although its USUALLY played for comedic effect to have some kind of joke payoff in the final panel.

Regarding that particular one though, I think the idea was to show how fast she was falling in the back, but it doesn't work so well, they should have still had the guys head turn in the final panel, or at least change his expression.

The girl staying the same would actually have worked for comedic effect really well, but its spoiled by having the guy stay static too.

I honestly like them all because they're basically Noble Team from Halo: Reach. On their own they might look out of place and dumb, but as a squad they all come together, there's a lot of potential there.

I know some would say that's a bad thing, but I honestly think they're neat, and there was always going to be a tacticool Stormtrooper Squad eventually. Better to be a one-time thing than a common unit that starts getting pushed everywhere, if you ask me.

Half of the Trooper designs look like they came straight out of TFU, but nobody complained about that games design work. (In fact I am actually quite in love with the design work of that game)

I kinda wish Sana wasn't shoehorned in here >>95801246 though. It honestly just feels like Marvel was fucking DESPERATE to add diversity to the original cast, but the LSG clearly don't give a fuck about her. They like Aphra though, they gave Aphra her own comic, action figure, even short story in the 40th anniversary collection. Aphra actually feels like a new character that wasn't solely injected for diversity. Thats because Keiron actually tried to make Aphra fun, even if she does come off as a bit overly quirky.

But Sana, well... She makes me cringe when I look at her. Zero personality, whatsoever. I think it's just because Marvel is scared of black people so they don't know what to do with their black characters once they've been shoehorned into the story. See it all the time in their capeshit.

Apparently Dice has re-iterated that Cross-Era is STILL not set in stone. It could be changed for launch, or it could be changed AFTER launch once the first ST/PT DLC drops and the hero count starts to balance out.

I think they're going to look at the Beta response to see if enough people are still against it, so if you don't want to see Rey shoehorned into our precious TCW Kamino battle fighting B1's, now is the time to hit the forums and twitter accounts.

I'm fine with it in Heroes vs Villains, but in the big recreational Galactic Assault battles where battles are being faithfully adapted for you to immerse in the Star Wars battles you know and love, having everything look 100% perfect only to see Rey shrieking as she dashes across the screen, it just makes me wonder what the fuck Dice are thinking.

I know it's just because they ported most of their heroes from the last game, which means there is an imbalance to the OT at launch. But the solution should not have been cross-era. They should have distributed their OT hero's to relevant maps (Luke and Vader on Hoth, Han and Iden on Endor, ect) and then used the free updates to add and diversify the heroes as time goes on.

Fingers crossed that Dice will get the message and change this, because that is genuinely the only thing ruining it for me. The rest of the game looks incredible.

Thats basically what they did in the classic game.

I am by no means a "Classic BF2 will never be topped!"-fag, but this is the one thing I really do think Dice is screwing up on. Nobody ever asked to have EVERY SINGLE HERO from EVERY SINGLE ERA playable on EVERY SINGLE MAP. We went 6 games (including the PSP ones) of heroes being era appropriate and everybody thought it was fine and never thought twice about it.

My problem is with the inconsistency between rebels and episode 4. It is a common mistake in prequels but still makes me angry. They want to include all the cool stuff from the movies after.

Thanks. Reading through it now, lots of these stories have an absolutely magical, almost spiritual quality to them, particularly the Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, Yoda and Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan stories.

Choice idea to write Master and Apprentice and Time of Death completely in the present tense. Really gives you an idea of what being a Force Spirit is like.

Just read JJM's Tusken Raider story. Basically serves as a small sequel or followup to the Kenobi novel considering all the elements and story beats from it are there. This comvergence of Canon and Legends is pretty neat.

I just can't see any possible justification for Kanan surviving. He's too prominent in the rebellion, so unless he pulls an Ahsoka and "goes missing" but survives in hiding, it's completely bullshit. Add to that the fact that there's ALREADY Obi Wan and Yoda (at least) hiding in secret at the beginning of ANH, and possibly Ahsoka, and it's just too much for me.

Ezra I could go either way with. I don't think they'll kill him in Rebels, but I really don't like him existing desu.

I don't know if you've been paying attention to the show but Kanan really doesn't want to be part of the Rebellion. He lost it on Hera at the end of Season 1 and sometimes during season 2. It's perfectly reasonable he goes on his own thing since Hera is absolutely committed to the cause.

Jakku should have an OT version too, they had the Battle of Jakku last game. Kashyyyk could be OT too. You could probably toss Takodana into the PT to balance things out there too.

It was a Wendig bounty hunters book, a Luceno Dooku book, 2 Han Solo tie ins including a Han/Chewie adventure and one about Clarke's character, Rise of the Resistance which is about Leia post Bloodline, and another Thrawn book.

The game is very faithful to the aesthetics and designs and content of each era. Clearly people care or the entire game would be cross era with retarded shit like FO Troopers fighting Stormtroopers on Kashyyyk with Greivous on both sides.

It's literally only heroes that are cross era, and Dice admit that this is purely because of the OT hero imbalance, so you cant even pretend like the presense of cross era is a selling point that people actually are excited for.

Force Spirits can actually see and exist all throughout time, as implied in Qui-Gon's seeing Obi-Wan through every stage of his life at once and Obi-Wan's perceptions in his 'Time of Death' story. They for all intents and purposes always exist in the "moment", perceiving it as it truly is, having done away with the illusion of linear time.

Presumably the Single-player is going to have a pretty cinematic display of the battle, as its the only major battle in the single player (that we know of)

So while Hoth and Kashyyyk need their battles remade in the multiplayer, Jakku is covered in the single-player, so they could create a new battle for the ST

desu I'm not a big fan of cross-era heroes but I think people are over blowing how big an issue it is. Especially in the context of what we're getting in the full game - all three eras represented, separate starfighter gamemode and a singleplayer campaign with a story covering the post-ROTJ - ST era. I'm willing to accept cross-era heroes when there's so much else to focus on.

Hell, there's far more legitimate problems to focus on from what I've experienced in the beta (non-hero reinforcements being somewhat overpriced, LAAT and flametrooper being entirely worthless, Strike at Takodana being biased towards the Resistance).

Really like that design. "B-17 in space" is a cool concept for a SW ship that hasn't really been overdone - K-Wing's the closest thing to that I've seen before.

I think a lot of the hate for them is because they're lumped in with how unoriginal a good portion of ST-era stuff is.

Honestly, the T-70 and RZ-2 are great new designs, I even kinda prefer them to the OG X-Wings and A-Wings

Go here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/?product=star-wars-battlefront-ii

this is the EA support ticket request screen.

Click PS4, or whatever platform you want it on.

Click "Codes and promotions"

Click "Invalid code"

It'll ask you to type the error message in the screen. You can type whatever you want, but you might as well make it something like, "My code did not work and I preordered the game."

Choose your region.

A pop-up will ask you to log into your EA account. After you do that, it'll ask you to write a message to go with your support ticket. Make sure your email address is correct and write out the same message as before, i.e. "My code did not work and pineapple on pizza is a sin."

Submit it

Wait approximately 10 seconds

Check your email, you will receive two emails in succession, one for opening a support ticket and then one with the code.

I like those two because they feel like a more sleek, streamlined take on the classic fighters, almost like PT era craft in appearance.
It fits with my headcanon of post-GCW design starting to slowly lean back towards the sleek optimistic retro-futurism of the PT now that peace has returned to the galaxy, whilst still building on the technological advancements in the 20+ years since.
