Conventions are fine when they're meant to present early clips or trailers for work. Or as a QnA for crew members. They can even be fine as a way for independent artists to get their self-printed comic or other personal work out to a reachable audience.
But the people who go there to watch a new Avengers trailer and SCREAM THE ENTIRE it's happening are the fucking worst. So are the large mass of bad anime wannabe artists who clutter artists alley with half-assed "popular fandom" art.
