>>95433381>>95433003It's probably because the babies were growing up - The world became a lot more concrete to theme, so the imagery they saw itself became less dreamlike, but still liking adventure, they went into the own imagination instead; knowing it's not real, but still having fun. This allowed their imaginations to allow more risks because they knew regardless, they'd be fine in the end, as opposed to seeing the world as a scary place and not knowing the consequences.
Though, that's just justification after the fact - Early seasons had Tommy getting kidnapped multiple times, the babies running away, getting stuck in environments that nearly killed them - The later seasons definitely smoothed out that aspect for mainstream appeal.
